The Bareknuckle “Ragnarok” is all heavy tones , a sledge hammer of a sound but can sing like an angel when you play leads. The primary goal why I upgraded the Seymour Duncan “Blackouts” is to have a pickup that sounds so pissed and aggressive while maintaining the clarity when playing single note riffs and chords, I was thinking of buying a BKP “Aftermath” set for this because I had a set before on my Ibanez and really liked it, though it sound to harsh on the top end so crossed it off my list.
I want something thats massive and tight on the low end, so I chose the “Ragnarok” for this one and it turned out great. The bridge pickup sounds tight sounds and sounds great when split coiled, the neck pickup is not muddy and sounds clear. Comparing this to my other guitar with a Dimarzio “Titan” the “Ragnarok” towers over it for me, the “Titan” sounds great its heavy and tight but the “Ragnarok” is heavier and tighter.
